Apparently, our agreement came with a caveat we were unaware of, and now we both dwell within one another. For however long it lasts.

[ Hours? Days? Lifetimes? He doesn't know, he's been lazy about reading up on the mechanics of the world; it doesn't feel like forever, but it certainly is strange to have someone so intimately entangled within his mind. The sense that he is very wary of her, liable to snap his own teeth at her, hovers at the edges of an unending sprawl; he is a god who once protected the borders of his nation from invaders, and though he marks her as a warrior, she is still foreign to him. ]

That is what I am. The god of war, the god of the desert; my world may be gone, but nothing will change my existence.

[ If anything, his subconscious claims a handful of others as his. Warlike creatures, who smell of his domain and cradle the embers of it. Even if they want nothing to do with him, in another life -- he would hear their calls. ]
