IN CHARACTER

CHARACTER NAME: Set
CHARACTER AGE: Immortal, looks to be in his thirties!
CHARACTER CANON: Mojito's Ennead
CANON POINT: Season 2, Chapter 72. Having confirmed his duty to the tormented souls of Egypt, Set prepares to show the caravan made of his "loyalists" outside of the Temple of Isis whom their god really is — by accepting that it is his role to be forgotten, and to destroy those who would worship a cruel, monstrous god.
ABILITIES: help,, dw i dont care to use his powers except for fun

DIVINE BIOLOGY:
— Stronger, faster, more agile and more durable than a human or demigod.
— Sense of smell, hearing and vision are acute, like an animal. Has keen low-light and dark vision.
— Exceptionally limited need for sustenance, sleep and oxygen (e.g. a full god can be very hungry, but will never die of starvation).
— Immortality.
— More followers worshiping him = more power.

DESERT & WAR DOMINION: Set has authority over the desert and uses the sands as an extension of himself — from which he can conjure, alter and manipulate at both his leisure, and to the limits of his imagination. Sheer adaptability is the key element of this domain. In Ennead canon, a god IS the manifestation of the existence of these domains in the world ( e.g. Set IS the desert, Nut IS the night sky ), and a god who ceases to exist takes their domain with them.
— Calling sand to himself, allowing him to move giant swaths of desert at his pleasure and multiply his base of power.
— Materializing weaponry, creatures/animals real, extinct and fantastical, and recognizable objects ( e.g. boats, pillars, chariots ). Naturally, he has to fully understand the workings of any complex object, vehicle or structure to make it.
— Creating sand-based clones of himself that are capable of effectively using a variety of weaponry.
— Summoning and controlling storms, including tornadoes and sandstorms.
— Dissolving himself into sand to travel, mitigate or avoid damage/pain, and manifest himself as a giant sand-version to use as a siege weapon.'

OTHER DOMAINS: Violence, chaos, foreigners and foreign lands, storms, chaos and disorder/confusion.

INTELLIGENCE:
— Millennias worth of knowledge of domestic and foreign warfare, weapons and technology.
— Exceptional versatility and natural speed of thought; his impartial intellectualism makes him extremely intellectually flexible and creative.
— Known to outmaneuver and outsmart his fellow gods.
— No tactic is too reprehensible; includes emotional blackmail, underhanded lies, sheer brutality in strength/cruelty, and psychological warfare if it means victory.

OTHER POWERS:
— He can communicate with the dead, playing the role of psychopomp toward the souls of women who experienced violent death.
— Can speak the language of the gods and animals, such as to crocodiles.
— Shapeshifting ( environmental, and animals/animal traits ). His kitty claw power!!
— ALWAYS SMELLS GOOD?? I guess he smells like sand or petrichor, but also seems to possess a scent that resonates with whomever is sniffing him.
— Divine Syncretism, or "the Highlander Principle". He has an omnipresent sense of self, where he's just The Only Set That Ever Existed. ( It's not a critical skill, just a fun opt-in/opt-out narrative for enhanced CR/AU purposes. )

SURVEY

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?:

As a god, Set never really had any cause or reason to ever be concerned about his finances or his social status. He is held to the highest of positions in Egypt, that of the divine, and mortals would naturally tithe to the palaces and temples of gods they wanted to court favor with and/or serve. His relationship to wealth is one where he's never wanted for anything, nor was he ever concerned with prices, costs or not having enough. One of his domains, that of "foreigners/foreign lands" actually extends him into being a god that merchants would pray to for safekeeping and secure passage for them and their goods, and while aware of the importance and uses of trade, he's never involved himself in the exchange of goods and currencies. It's just not something that computes in his mind, marking him as the apex of wealth and prosperity in that he'd be considered part of the 0.00000001% or something to that nature. He's used to being served, and bossing around his lessers/inferiors, as there was a notable social stratification in his era.

WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?:

He'd be a dual-major in International Relations and Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations. :) He'd be a slacker that's also a natural prodigy, sadly.

WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?:

He has a severely unreliable memory based on something ( unknown in canon... ) that happened to him prior to achieving godhood that impacts him to this day.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER USING ONE SONG FROM THE EARLY 2000S:

Bulletproof, by the La Roux hehehe

NAME 1-3 VICES YOUR CHARACTER INDULGES IN:

Drinking, smoking & bloodsports!

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S LIQUOR OF CHOICE?:

Wine. Especially clay-vessel wine.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE THEIR EGGS?:

If he has to eat them, he'd prefer them hard-boiled. But, he's a vegetarian so he'll avoid them if he can!

IF YOUR CHARACTER HAD TO DRINK SOMEONE'S DIRTY BATHWATER, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?:

Nephthys', because she is/was his wife and first love and he's a romantic at heart. <3
