IN CHARACTER;
NAME: Set ( Seth, Sutekh )
CANON: Mojito’s Ennead
CANON POINT: N/A, varies.
AGE: Indeterminate, appears to be in his early thirties.
HEIGHT: 6’0”
BUILD: Strong shoulders, long legs, lean waist. Very athletic.

AFFECTION: For reasons, Set is rather mistrustful of given affection, and may prove dismissive of attempts. Repeated attempts may be met with hostility, if he feels his boundaries are being disrespected. He is primarily demonstrative in his own affections, though any showing of it among companions is contained primarily to shows of protectiveness, and acceptance of individuals into his “service”. Affection is primarily revealed in the way he comes to value the lives of individuals/endeavors to test and challenge them, rather than through physical shows of contact.
RELATIONSHIPS: While his marriage to Nephthys has likely been annulled as of his banishment from the domain of the gods, he has been married to her for countless centuries and has always loved her – that, and he’s also struggling with the idea that he may despise her and blame her for his pain. Initial attempts to form relationships – platonic or romantic – with Set will have to ultimately deal with his underlying issues of self-doubt, sexual abuse and Osiris’s lingering obsession.
He is known for being a god of “indiscriminate sexuality”, and throughout Egyptian myth has been noted to have relationships with men and women alike in various forms and shapes. #pansexual
VIOLENCE: Anything and everything.
As god of war and former tyrant of Egypt, Set’s history with violence is varied and far-reaching. He is a known murderer of women and children, as well as the defender of Egypt’s lands and a survivor of sexual abuse, suicide and severe gaslighting. These forms of violence all culminate in the portrayal of his character, but the degree to which they’re referenced varies depending on the level of player comfort. He's also a TANK of a creature, with the ability to shrug off damage and ignore pain simply by turning to sand.
DEATH: "Endings" are narratively important to a deathless entity, so I don't go into death threads idly. He's not afraid of death, and mentally comprehends what it is to die ( having experienced thousands of deaths in memorium.... ), it's just a topic that doesn't actively factor into anything in his mind.
TELEPATHY: Acceptable! Please reach out to me for unique challenges and consequences.
BETRAYAL: I love playing with trust and the betrayal of it, personally. Due to Set's experience with betrayals by people he (blindly) trusted, it's the surest way to sink CR immediately into the negative zone. Characters will be able to claw their way back up into his graces, given time and effort. Lots of time, effort and slowburn. I don't believe minor betrayals (i.e. lying, disrespect, selfishness) would affect him as greatly; it is major betrayals (i.e. conditional commitment, forming an alliance against him while pretending to be his companion, double-crossing) that will tarnish a relationship deeply.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION: ( APPEARANCE ) Known as the redheaded god of Egypt, Set’s appearance is at odds with the rest of the Ennead and the people of the land. He traditionally wears a black shendyt around his hips, with ornate gold jewelry adorning his neck/chest and limbs. Prior to his exile from the palace at Heliopolis, Set wore a mask in the shape of the eponymous set-animal, an unknown creature with a long nose and square ears; this was a sign of his godhood, and has been removed as of his exile.
MENTAL INFORMATION: It’s a wreck in there. Layers and layers of wreckage, leave him be.
OPT IN/OUT;
UNWANTED SCENARIOS: I'm not keen on gratuitous animal torture, but it is a soft limit when for narrative purpose.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
CONTENT WARNINGS.
Mojito's Ennead is the adaptation of the mythological conflict between Set and Osiris, and later, between Set and Horus. Please be aware of the following content warnings, as well as their importance in his character's context.
I have no problems with any of these things being addressed and explored in-character, as they're all important variables in regards to his character. I have no intention of forcing fellow players into situations where they are confronted, or forced to play with the connotations unexpectedly.
If any of these particular topics make you uncomfortable, please don't hesitate to inform me. If you would like me to reach out to you privately, if any of these topics may come up in a thread, I am happy to do that. You're welcome to reply to this comment to let me know where I may reach you, or if you simply would like to opt-out of threads with Set entirely.

CURSES.
The concept of "curses" in Ennead are integral to the story, as well as extremely powerful. Due to the nature of the gods being archetypical, metaphysical and subject to fated parameters ( in comparison to the determinism, freedom and mutability of mortal life ), the gods are susceptible to the will of another god being imposed upon them. This is what is referred to as "a curse"; individual gods with keen magical insight OR a god in extreme emotional turmoil will find it easier to curse another. These curses are upheld by a power greater than that of the gods: the order of existence itself.
You're welcome to hmu below with/for ideas for curses he could utter, and please keep in mind that I'm not wholly looking for comedic uses of this element. Comedy as a byproduct is lovely, but I would enjoy using this as a means to assist players and their characters when they've hit a wall, or would like to fuck around and find out. To note: he could not curse someone to their death, nor impact their will or freedom, but could unwittingly claim that someone "had no taste", thus (temporarily) robbing them of the ability to taste foods.
DIVINE SYNCRETISM / OMNIPRESENCE.
So, I play with the idea of divine syncretism loosely in RP, by manifesting it as a fun "power" that he naturally possesses: that of omnipresence, wherein he is ( written as "believes himself STRONGLY to be" ) the core/only Set, the collective archetype of his "self"*. In general terms, whether he's CRAU or not, he might get a little deja vu if he's run into the character you're playing before. He won't actively recall them, to prevent any sort of clashing with game mechanics or settings, though. All experiences in PSLs/games feed into the core of his being, and gods do not experience time in a linear fashion, so he figures he's just not actively recalling a memory.
