To differentiate ( for players ), when Set's Shadow is acting up/acting out, I'm going to be using the masked god icons. Masks are representative of hiding one's true self, playing a role or part, and in Ennead, as a sign of power and status.
Set's shadow is highly representative of his former self, as the tyrannical king of Egypt. It speaks in riddles, references his current "weaknesses" and "vulnerabilities", and generally is utterly unhinged. [ x, x ]
